Bridging the Gap for Greene County Families
This winter, Schneider House of Hope is seeing more families in crisis than in previous years. Rising housing costs, higher grocery and utility prices, and recent delays in SNAP benefits have pushed many parents and children to the edge—often unexpectedly. Families across Xenia, Fairborn, Beavercreek, Yellow Springs, and the surrounding communities are turning to us for emergency shelter, stability, and hope.
At the same time, our organization is experiencing the same rising costs that so many households are facing. Everything from utilities and transportation to staffing, food, and program supplies has increased significantly. These unavoidable expenses have contributed to a projected budget deficit for 2025, one that could impact our ability to provide the level of care families in Greene County rely on.
Our goal is to raise $40,000 by December 31 to ensure that no family in our community goes without shelter, a warm meal, or a path toward stability.
